I recently upgraded my laptop to Win7 32 bit. I installed my Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 disc. I am having issues with my Outlook portion of the program. Duplicated accounts, no contacts, accounts that can't be opened. I uninstalled and then reinstalled figuring that would resolve the problem, unfortunately, it didn't.
When I open Outlook I still have the same issue. I want to know if I can uninstall and then clean up any left over files, etc. From the registry. If so, can anyone advise what I need to delete in the registry. The only error message I get is when I try to open one of my accounts. It is as follows: The set of folders could not be opened. If I click the help button on this message, it displays the following: This error usually appears if the OST or PST file you are using is: Unavailable Protected with file permissions On a share on a server and the network is down Corrupt To correct this problem, store the OST or PST file on the local computer.
You may also want to run the scanost.exe and scanpst.exe tools to verify file integrity. If I open it in safe mode I receive the same message. I have scanned and repaired via your line, the problem still exists. I would like information on how to delete Outlook in the registry for Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit so that I can install a clean copy since deleting it via the control panel must leave some settings in tack.
